Birds Eye and Nickelodeon’s Jennette McCurdy, star of “Sam & Cat,” are working together to get parents to rewrite the dinnertime rules this summer.
Did you know, that more than 90 percent of kids and adolescents don’t eat the recommended amount of vegetables per day. Kids are more likely to try new foods when they’re having fun which is why I was thrilled to attend an event hosted by Birds Eye with special guest Jennette McCurdy and Birds Eye Executive Chef Michael Christiansen. Jennette was totally nice and great about being interviewed by daughter. Yes, my daughter had a totally fun interview with Jennette.

During the event, my daughter along with other kids were treated to a hands-on, kid-focused “experience” with a focus on veggie inspiration, yummy recipes and showing kids how fun eating their veggies can be. This is fantastic because my daughter luckily for me will eat fruit but is such the stick up your nose “I don’t like veggie” eater.
We both tried a delicious chicken sandwich topped with Birds Eye vegetables and my daughter had too much fun making her own individual pizza topped with veggies. But the semi-hit was the Veggie Smoothie, yes, it was made with vegetables but we both liked it. Definitely a winner for the summer.

How fun! I love this interview!
Looks like you had such a great time!
I know, I think its easier not argue and let them eat whatever. I have had that problem but I keep trying but if she only eats green beans so be it.
