SUCCESSFUL BLOGGERS SEGMENT ON THE TODAY SHOW
This week, I was invited to be interviewed by Career Expert Suzy Welch for The Today Show segment during Kathie Lee and Hoda hour. The topic ” Blogging as a Profession.” During my thirty minutes being interviewed by Suzy was the easiest thirty minute interview I have ever had. During the interview, we covered a wide range of topics – how I started my NYC Single Mom blog, how I monetized my blog and specifically, how I manage to run a small business (and that is what I consider my blog) when I have a full time job.

Admittedly, I was thrilled to be chosen as one of the bloggers along with Vera Sweeney and Audrey McClelland in the segment. In case you don’t know my story, I adopted my daughter on my own so it just me as the sole breadwinner in the family. Blogging has not only enhanced my skill set from a career perspective but has provided me with so many opportunities for my daughter and me.
Thanks again to The Today Show and Suzy Welch for the opportunity to tell my story and to show the success one can have as a blogger on my terms.

What a great honor that was!! Every blogger could inspire knowing someday they could be on a national tv show. Congrats
Such an inspiration. This is amaizng!
I have a full-time career that has me on the road 175+ days a year – I am VERY interested in your story and how you blog on the side with a full-time job and daughter (I have stepkids). I do monetize as well, but I don’t make much (I’m around $2k a month right now). I just don’t have the time to put into it I’d like (working on it, though). I’ll be pouring through your pages. So glad I saw this post!
How exciting to see and hear your story on Today’s Show. Major congrats!
