Sarah Jessica Parker lives somewhere near me, I am not sure where although I am sure it wouldn’t be hard to find her West Village brownstone, just follow the pack of paparazzi stalking the street. I have been a fan of hers since Square Pegs, (I’m dating myself, I know) and of course, was an avid Sex and the City viewer.
So when I was invited to a screening of “I Don’t Know How She Does it” and Q&A session, I was frantic to go. In the end, I couldn’t go. A little thing called keeping a roof over my head intervened, I just couldn’t get out of work nor justify the making of money vs. sitting in a theatre earning no money.
But according to my buddy Daddy Mitch @gaynycdad (check out his post on the event); Sarah Jessica was lovely and answered everyone’s questions with candor and humour. Entertainment Tonight ain’t got nothing on a roomful of New York bloggers.
I was not able to go to the Q&A and screening but I bet no one in the room can say that their child played with Sarah Jessica’s son at the playground (and yes, we talked the way moms chat at the playground – ok, maybe, I am not usually screaming internally, OMG, I am talking to SJP keep it together, while talking to other moms) or had the pleasure of being in the same room when our child’s graduate to the next level in karate.
Hopefully, there will be another opportunity or hey, one never knows, I might run into her on the street.

I hope to be able to attend another SJP event as well in the future, since i couldnt make this one either.
She seems pretty casual always being photographed living her life downtown. I really love her. Can’t believe you chatted. I’m not sure I could get any words out in her presence.
Thats why I was so bummed that I just get out just to see her in her SJP-actress mode because I have only seen her in real life and wanted to compare the two and everyone said she answered all the questions.
