This past week, I had the pleasure attending the premiere of Going In Style and the After Party at La Serina. It was a thrill to see all three Academy Award stars (Morgan Freeman, Michael Caine and Alan Arkin) of the movie at the premiere. Plus who isn’t excited to see the incomparable Ann-Margaret and everyone’s favorite funny man Christopher Lloyd.
As I watched, Going In Style I was reminded that regardless of your age, we all need to make the most out of our time in our lives. I know that Work, Kids and Life seems to get in the way of spending time with the people closest to us. Inviting one of my good friends to the premiere and after party was one of those moments of making the most of my time together with close friends. Of course, we were excited to see some pretty big stars Candice Bergen and Edie Falco sitting amongst but I think we were more excited to just to relax and catch up on our respective lives.
But sometimes it’s just not the stars but just taking the moment to appreciate style around us. At the afterparty, I had to just chat with these two people who as you can stood amongst the crowd and tell them I appreciated their look. Sometimes you have to be filled with bit of chutzpah and not be afraid to chat with strangers. The funny thing is the older lady just happened to be Instagram Star Badde Winke. And she reminded me that no matter your age, everyone can be an Instagram star. So go out today and make a memorable moment!
