“Pork the other white meat,” so goes the tagline. Sounds like an option over chickend and fish, but honestly, all I know how to cook is porkshops and applesauce (yes, it’s a Brady Bunch reference) and I don’t really do that well. I just have no idea what to do with pork.
So I was thrilled to be invited by the National Pork Board to taste the entries in the their contest to crown the America’s Next Crock Star.
Well as though tasting yummy dishes isn’t enough, I was able to meet Candace Cameron Bure (Kirk Cameron’s sister, remember her) and Hosea Rosenberg.
Here is the line of recipes that I tasted.
Herbes De Provence Sausage
Trip-to-Tuscany Pork Tenderloin
This Little Figgy Stayed Home
Harvest-Thyme Pork ‘N Pears with Fennel
Kapusta Pork
All very good. And who was the winner? – Linda Cifuentes’ Kapusta Pork.

I’m going to try this today, but it does not look easy.
