Christmas Party Preparations

December 15, 2011 by NYCSingleMom Filed Under: Single Mom Daily Life

Pumpkin Donuts made with Babycakes Donut Maker

My annual Christmas Party is a few days away and I’m still trying to figure out the menu. Deciding on the sides, depends on my main dish which I am leaning towards ham but I also thinking roast beef. My green bean and mushroom casserole is definitely on the menu plus a mixed green salad. I have to have a salad since that’s has become my daughter’s thing.

While my menu choices will end up to be tried and true, I decided to really do something different for my guests this year, of course, they will receive Christmas gifts but also a parting gift of donuts for their morning breakfast. I got the idea from Alain Ducasse (his restaurant has since closed). After our rather expensive meal, the waiter handed each of us a little brioche for our morning breakfast.

Well I don’t have time to make a brioche but since I received a Babycakes donut maker at a BJs holiday shopping event,  my lucky guests will walk away with pumpkin donuts coated with powdered sugar for their weekend breakfast.

what an awesome idea for a parting gift! I’m sure your guests will sit down to those donuts and think about all the fun they had at your party as they eat them. I’ll keep this in mind for the next time I have a dinner party.

Thanks for stoping by my blog and commenting on my comic – it’s much appreciated.
