My daughter has been in love with Pinkalicious books forever so we were thrilled to finally be able to see Pinkalicious, The Musical.
Pinkalicious The Musical is based on the book by Victoria and Elizabeth Kann and is about a girl who can’t stop eating cupcakes despite warnings from her parents. One day she wakes up with “pinkititis”, all covered in pink and has to go see the doctor.Pinkalicious eventually has to figure out how to change her color on her own.
What we liked about Pinkalicious The Musical:
- The set was truly magical and colorful. My daughter was thrilled to see how “pink” it was.
- The cast was enthusiastic and peppy, keeping the young audience engaged. There were a couple of times the cast asked the audience where Pinkalicious was and what they should do next.
- It was short at 1 hour just enough to keep the little ones from melting down.
- I loved the park scene with the birds and bees attacking Pinkalicious.
- You can meet the cast after the show, have a photo opp and get their autograph. My daughter is all about meeting the cast after the show. It is the one advantage to seeing an off-off broadway show, the opportunity to meet the cast in person. That never happens with Broadway shows.

Katrina @ The Interrupting Cow says
My little girl got to go see Pinkalicious the musical with her grandma. I made her a new pink tutu to wear and she had a fabulous time! We were afraid she might not make it because she was sick and stayed home from school but was feeling better by lunch time so she got to make it to the show. She had a pinktastic time and I’m glad she got to have that experience.
