Walt Disney Family Museum
Disney Fans, if you are visiting San Francisco, then definitely block out time to visit the Walt Disney Family Museum located in the Presidio. The museum provides a history of Walt Disney’s life, his work, creations and of course, the launch of Disneyland. The museum is really an American treasure for Disney fans. An added bonus is the gorgeous view of the Golden Gate Bridge.

1. The Main Museum was constructed in 1897. It’s original use was to house soldiers from the Army.

Take note that the younger kids will probably find it boring, it is a museum after all. Definitely take 12+ although they might also be bored as well and might not get as excited to learn about Disney’s early life and all the cool Mickey Mouse memorabilia.
