This past weekend, we were invited for what I thought was a sneak peak at The Adventures of Tin Tin directed by Steven Spielberg. Well lo and behold, it was the US premiere of the movie. I did not realize this until Spielberg himself, got up before the start of the movie to say a few words. To paraphrase, I know you have read or hear a lot about stopped motion picture but I think you will like the movie. And by the way, I saw the back of George Lucas’ head as he was skirting out the movie with his girlfriend Mellody Hobson. I actually stopped her to say hi, since we met her at the ING event last year, she was polite as she told me “we’re late.” And Lucas, did not even turn around.
We saw the movie at the Ziegfield theater and I must admit, it really is the best theater to see a movie. We were assigned tickets in the balcony but because of the screen and the configuration, it did not matter, we still saw the movie perfectly. Each of us in the balcony were given a “Snowy” dog. Cute, right.
So here is why NYC Single Mom needs a paparrazzi type camera. Because I did not know Spielberg was there let alone going to talk, my camera was not equipped to take the shot in the 10 seconds he spoke.

Sounds like an awesome time! I love the “Yes it’s him if you squint!” LOL
