I never met my daughter’s birth mom. Not that I didn’t want to, she just chose not to meet me. I am sure it was not an easy decision to let another woman raise her baby girl but every day since the day I found I was going to be a mom I thank her for what could not have been an easy decision.
In the past decade, states have made it easier for scared teens to leave their babies at firehouses, police stations and hospitals without legal repercussions which makes this most recent story of a Philadelphia teen who killed her new born baby so heart breaking. I won’t get into the details because it’s quite horrifying but I have provided the link to the story in case your interested.
