Free Tickets from Coast to Coast – Smithsonian Magazine’s Museum Day Live!
Visiting a museum is a great way to spend the day but unfortunately, unlike the Smithsonian Museum in Washingon, admission is not free.
For one day only, September 22, 2018, participating locations across the country will emulate the free admission policy of the Smithsonian Institution’s Washington, D.C.-based facilities. The program encourages learning and the dissemination of knowledge nationwide. Last year’s event drew over 350,000 museum-goers to over 1,400 museums.
The Museum Day ticket provides free admission for two people on Saturday, September 22, 2018.
Museum-goers can head to smithsonian.com/museumdaylive to download tickets for Smithsonian’s Museum Day Live! Museums across New York including Bartow-Pell Mansion Museum, Museum of Chinese America, Brooklyn Museum, New York City Fire Museum and so many more, will be participating in this annual event celebrating cultural education through the nation’s wide array of museums and institutions.

Disclosure: NYC Single Mom was not compensated for this post, I am a fan of the Smithsonian Museum and all museums throughout the country.
