Seeing Trayvon Martin in Every Hoodie

April 1, 2012 by NYCSingleMom Filed Under: Single Mom Daily Life

Yesterday, I was out running errands like any other Saturday and for the first time I noticed how many white, hipster guys wear hoodies and all I could think of was Trayvon Martin. I even thought of him this week, when I got the flyer from my daughter’s school promoting the schools new clothing items which included a hoodie.

For every hoodie I saw on a white guy, I kept thinking not one person who sees them feels even a split second of fear but when people see a black kid in a hoodie, they have the complete opposite feeling.

It just made me feel sad inside.

    Makes me so sad….
And so disgusted that this guy has yet to be arrested. 🙁

Printed on light blue tees in each guys and
girls, as effectively as on American Apparel “mermaid green” flex fleece zip up hoodies,
there’s truly no far better option for becoming immediately Tron-esque correct now.
