Visiting the Metropolitan Museum of Art then don’t forget to head up to the Rooftop Garden where British Sculptor Anthony Caro has a selection of painted and unpainted steel structures on view until October 2011.
I love the rooftop garden not only for the exhibits but the sweeping and unparalled view of the New York skyline. There is a little cafe on the roof so take a break and enjoy the view.

Tips to visiting the MET:
- Arrive early, it can get pretty crowded and with children, it’s just easier
- Check the kid’s schedule to see if there are any activities and events that you might want to see
- Admission is $20 for adults (kids under 12 are free) but if you notice and most people don’t notice or don’t ask, it states Recommended Admission on the sign, that means if you want to pay a $1.00, you can. ($1.00 is pretty low amount but see where I am going), I usually pay $10.00 especially if I am going to be there for a couple of hours, it’s worth it.
- Stroller entrance is to the left of the stairs, on 81st and 5th Avenue.
Disclosure: NYC Single Mom was not compensated for this post, i just love the MET.
