No trip to Paris would be complete without visiting the Eiffel Tower. The Eiffel Tower was built by Gustave Eiffel in 1889 to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the French Revolution. The Eiffel Tower was not meant to be a permanent structure, yet today it stands as the symbol of France and it is recognized around the world.
Having been to Paris many times, I had never been to the top. I wanted my daughter to experience the view and I knew she would want to see it as well. A must do is buying the tickets in advance as the line to buy tickets is over a hour long.
The ride to both the second floor and to the summit is quite the experience. It is quite spectacular at the top to see all of Paris.
What I did not know is Gustave Eiffel had an apartment at the Tower where he entertained friends.
