My daughter still loves to play with dolls. I hear often in her room making up stories about her dolls. It’s so cute. When my daughter heard about the My Twinn doll, she jumped at the chance to design a doll that looked like her.
My Twinn dolls are hand-crafted to capture the unique characteristics of girls age 3-12. Simply submit a photo of the girl’s face you would like to replicate, and choose outfit for the doll. Skilled artisans hand paint eyebrows, cheeks, lips and special features like freckles and birthmarks to replicate each child’s likeness in striking detail.
On the My Twinn website, my daughter and I were able to select her doll’s features (hair texture and length, eye color and skin tone) which was super easy and user friendly. We then uploaded 3 pictures so My Twinn’s artisans could paint my daughter’s features. Once we completed the order, my daughter waited in anticipation literally checking the package board everyday. The doll only took about a week to be completed, which I was surprised since it stated it would take about 3 weeks.
When the doll arrived my daughter shrieked with excitement. I will admit My Twinn looks more like a BFF rather than my daughter but that is because my daughter was insistent in choosing features more like a BFF than herself. No matter she loves her doll, takes her everywhere and spends hours with her playing with her. I seriously thought she had grown out of the doll stage but wrong I was. It might be because the doll is more child like than baby doll and the 23 inch size makes a difference. No matter she is delighted with her new best friend Gabriella.
I would definitely recommend My Twinn especially because you can engage your daughter in choosing all her doll’s features, and My Twinn is very well made and I can tell the doll will last a long time.
Now I would be remiss, if I did not mention that the dolls are $149 but given that I think they really are well made and made to last, certainly as a collectible that your daughter will cherish for years to come, I think it’s worth it.
