Since Marvel Studios’ “Black Panther” was released, it has become a global cultural phenomenon that without a doubt thrilled and inspired generations of moviegoers around the globe. The film has dominated the box office charts grossing over $1.2 Billion dollars.
Now fans can bring home the phenomenon, packed with light-hearted fun, pulse-pounding action, and a powerful message, and watch it over and over again. On May 15, Marvel Studios’ “Black Panther” will be available on 4K Ultra HD™, Blu-ray™, DVD, and On-Demand.
“Black Panther” is the highly celebrated story of T’Challa (Chadwick Boseman), a young African prince who takes on the mantle of King and Super Hero.
Seeing Black Panther again on Blu-ray is a joy to watch from the opening scenes to the finale. Moviegoers will be enthralled and engrossed by the story line, the action and of course, the multitude of characters from Black Panther himself to Dora Milaje women warriors to villain Erik Killmonger. You will not be disappointed.
And the extras on the disc is catnip for movie fans like myself. I loved the making-of featurettes: the Black Panther’s evolution, the remarkable women of Wakanda, and the cosmic origin and technological applications of vibranium. You can see the all the work that took place to get the movie right. Plus, I found the roundtable discussion with “Black Panther” filmmakers and writers so interesting and informative.
