Magic Mike (Channing Tatum) returns in this Warner Bros sequel penned by Tatum and producing partner Reid Carolin. On the road to their final show, with whistle stops in Jacksonville and Savannah to renew old acquaintances and make new friends, Mike and the guys learn some new moves and shake off the past in surprising ways.
All I can say about this movie is that if you are looking for a ridiculously (key word here is ridiculously) fun and entertaining movie then please go see Magic Mike XXL. Yes, they are male strippers (sorry Male Entertainers) and yes, there are lots of buffed six pack abs (who wouldn’t want to see that?) and lots of raunchy, hilarious scenes but this movie is also about friendship and that one last ride or score as they say in the movies. And yes, there is actually a plot and more character development than you would think.
And did I mention there are lots of abs in this movie but don’t be scared off, it really is a ridiculously fun ride that is sure to make you laugh and be awed at the same. I was wondering how they were going to replace Matthew McConaughey as the deliciously lewd MC but Ms. Jada Pinkett Smith brings it.
And finally it goes without saying that Channing Tatum rocks as Magic Mike or White Chocolate as does his co-stars Matt Bomer (Ken); Joe Manganiello (Big Dick Richie); Kevin Nash (Tarzan); Adam Rodriguez ( Tito) and newcomer Stephen “tWitch” Boss (Malik.) Spoiler alert; Tatum and “tWitch finale is truly amazing on so many levels.
