Over the years, my daughter and I have had the opportunity to visit a host of cities in the United States, including visiting Disney World, a whopping 7 times and Universal Orlando, three times plus visited Paris and London.
My daughter is now a surly teenager. And I am sure we all remember our teen years and not wanting to vacation with our parents. So here I am looking back on our past vacations with a smile and a smidge of sadness. There might be a few trips in our future but I will never get that smile I see in pictures from when she was young or frankly see the wonder and excitement of our trips. Now all I get is not a smile but some supermodel no teeth, grimace.

Traveling through Southern California with my work husband, Mitch Chaitin (@gaynycdad) and his husband. Note that both of us parents succumbed and bought bears for our kids (where is that bear???)

I can totally relate! My daughter is a teen now too and I miss those days, but I try to look at the fun times to come and the things that I will enjoy by her growing up, like having that can help with planning our vacations!
NYCSingleMom says
Positive thought on help with planning. I am going to go with that idea when we go on our next vacation
