Marvel’s “Iron Man 3” has officially opened to boffo box office, no surprise. The third in the series pits brash-but-brilliant industrialist Tony Stark/Iron Man against an enemy whose reach knows no bounds.
When Stark finds his personal world destroyed at his enemy’s hands, he embarks on a harrowing quest to find those responsible. This journey, at every turn, will test his mettle. With his back against the wall, Stark is left to survive by his own devices, relying on his ingenuity and instincts to protect those closest to him. As he fights his way back, Stark discovers the answer to the question that has secretly haunted him: does the man make the suit or does the suit make the man?
Iron Man 3 Review – I loved this movie from beginning to end. Iron Man 3 is probably a little more dark than the previous movies but not too dark. Iron Man 3 has all the elements that I love in an action movie, pithy dialogue that Robert Downey, Jr. excels at, chemistry between Iron Man and Pepper Potts (yes, in this movie, I will give People’s Most Beautiful Woman a shout out that I like her as Pepper Potts), Iron Man and Iron Patriot (Don Cheadle needs his own spin off movie), a wackadoo and over the top villain “the Mandarin” (Ben Kingsley truly rocks the roll), a good back story and the action. And yes, the action is over the top, lots of fights and things blowing up but Director Shane Black does it well.
Do I recommend this movie? Yes, especially if you are a Marvel or Iron Man fan. That said, if you aren’t, you will still like the movie and do not need to know the Iron Man history as the movie stands on it’s own. And you read somewhere stay to see an Avengers trailer after the credits, don’t. So not worth it.
