Christmas is just around the corner and that means entertaining friends and family. I don’t know about you but I love “trying” (and that is the operative word “trying”) to make my apartment more festive during the holiday. That means I am always looking for simple arts and craft ideas to brighten up my apartment.
Recently, I went to a Holiday Crafts event hosted by Driscoll’s Berries. For the record, I have been buying Driscoll’s strawberries for years. As far as I know, if there is another seller of strawberries in New York City, I haven’t noticed. From the local supermarket to the corner fruit stand, that’s all I have ever seen.
What I didn’t know before I went to the event is that Driscoll’s is the leading supplier of organic strawberries, raspberries, blackberries and blueberries. In addition, they do not genetically modify its plants. All information I was happy to hear.
At the event, Melissa Klein of Celebrations.com was there to show attendees how to create a super simple Strawberry Centerpiece that can be used during the Holidays or for any celebration you may be having. Have you ever even thought of using strawberries as a centerpiece? Me either. While the moms were crafting their centerpieces, there was a kids only station where they were able to design their very own Reindeer cupcakes.
Here are two Strawberry centerpieces that were showcased at the event.
