Attending Mom Trends event is always a delight. Their 4th annual holiday party held at Roberta Freymann showroom in TriBeca proved to be right on target providing gift and entertaining ideas just in time for the holiday party season.
We were treated to Anna de Codorniu, a delicious sparkling wine from Spain. I always think of sparkling wine for parties and special occasions but we shouldn’t think of Anna de Codorniu that way, it is considered an “everyday wine” because of its’ blend of citrus, grapefruit and lime and light taste and aroma.
Looking for a way to spice up your table, Marie Ackerman from Tele- Flora provided some great holiday entertaining tips and gift ideas.
- Decorate the front door, the mantel and thee dining table
- Fun novelty items that light up your house during the holiday season like snowmen, candy canes and bears
- Red-colored gifts especially shiny red art glass vases and bowls that are sure to brighten your home
- Flower and plant arrangements work to enliven your home but of course, it is Tele-Flora, make great gifts for friends, family, teachers, co-workers, babysitters, your hairdresser and the service providers in your life.
And I had the opportunity to rekindle my love of Vitabath, which has Holiday Sets (body wash and lotion) that come in mouth-watering scents like Sweet Ping Peppermint and Cheery Red Apple and of course the original Spring Green Set.
During the event, I wandered the beautifully decorated Roberta Freyman showroom where there were oodles of gift ideas from clothing, bright colored earrings, ornaments, pajamas (for kids, too,) blankets, chic bags, scarves and the biggest beach towel I have ever seen (it’s 7 feet long, wow!)and so much more, all inspired from Roberta’s travels around the world.
Other sponsors of the events included: GlamSquad, made up of beauty professionals who come to your home to do hair and make-up before an event or party, a delicious offering from Cabot cheese, Nocciolata, Welch’s frozen fruit and smoothies and Baby Buggy, an organization that helps families in need.
Disclosure: NYC Single Mom received various samples from the event.
