Guess who is off to Los Angeles in a couple of weeks for a fun press junket hosted by Disney, Marvel, DreamWorks & ABC Family? Talk about super excited. My inbox is not always filled with a fun, fun invites but this one came at the right time. Not only will I be hanging with 24 amazing bloggers, I will enjoying spending time with my blog husband, Mitch Chaitin (gaynycdad.com) and Barb Webb (ruralmom.com), a blogger I met at the Disney Social Media Moms event in Disneyland.
This is going to be an action packed trip filled with so many amazing events.
- Marvel Guardians of the Galaxy press junket where I will get to interview cast and filmmakers of this movie. I am a huge Marvel fan having been lucky enough to attend the Red Carpet screening of Thor: The Dark World and interview Jaime Alexander (Lady Sif) and the hugely popular Tom HIddleston (Loki).
- An advanced screening of “The Hundred-Foot Journey” (opening August 8). Helen Mirren is one my favorite actresses of all time, so I can’t wait to check her newest movie out.
- Interview with Manish Dayal, one of the stars of the “The Hundred-Foot Journey”
- Partake in a cooking lesson at the world famous Le Cordon Bleu cooking school. This is such a thrill since this will be my second cooking lesson at the school, having my first lesson at the Paris Le Cordon Bleu.
- Advanced Screening of “Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day” (Opening October 10). This was one of my daughter’s favorite book so this is perfect to get a first look.
- Preview footage from “Big Hero 6″ including Q&A with the filmmakers (opening November 7)
- Go on the set of ABC’s NEW show, “Mystery Girls” to observe production and meet starts Tori Spelling and Jennie Garth. This is going to be interesting since I never was a 90210 fan but certainly have followed the two main characters through their various tabloid lives. And I would be lying if I said, woo hoo, I am so thrilled to be meeting Tori Spelling. But as I mentioned in my Mean Girl post, I am not going to judge a book by its’ reality series cover.
- Go on the set of “Young & Hungry” starring Emily Osment (Hannah Montana). I am big fan of Emily from her Hannah Montana days. In fact, she was the only character I liked since I hated that show and was never sure why it was so popular.
