Last week like much of the country, New York City experienced more snow and extremely cold temperatures. It might have been a miserable day but snow days always make for great photos.
This is the Gandhi statue in Union Square Park.
I love this shot because I know that somewhere behind that cloud of snow is the Empire State Building plus I love the red umbrella. As you can see, having an umbrella on a windy snowy day was not working for this woman.

My daughter was not happy but the red umbrella just caught my eye and I had to take it even though my hands froze the minute I took my gloves off.

I love the pictures but hate the cold. I shouldn’t complain because I’m in Kentucky and we haven’t had a lot of snow just more cold than usual. Stay warm!

Great shots. We only got a dusting, if that. But it was pretty cold. Funny how everyone’s getting more snow than us here in Maine. We’re used to the snow!

Even Gandhi looks cold! lol Your last picture really captures the bitterness of winter – especially that “red light”.

We’re in PA. and we got that cold weather too. Good that it’s only a statue and that he’s still standing there despite of the wicked weather.
