Last week like much of the country, New York City experienced more snow and extremely cold temperatures. It might have been a miserable day but snow days always make for great photos.
This is the Gandhi statue in Union Square Park.
I love this shot because I know that somewhere behind that cloud of snow is the Empire State Building plus I love the red umbrella. As you can see, having an umbrella on a windy snowy day was not working for this woman.

Wonderful photos. Great capture with the red umbrella. I have an umbrella in a photo today too – LOL.
My daughter was not happy but the red umbrella just caught my eye and I had to take it even though my hands froze the minute I took my gloves off.
Love that last shot!
I love the pictures but hate the cold. I shouldn’t complain because I’m in Kentucky and we haven’t had a lot of snow just more cold than usual. Stay warm!

I dont know how Canadians and those who live in the midwest do it. I hate cold cold weather.
Heatwave here, I’m dreaming off a blizzard.
Great photos. We’re also freezing our butts off here in Toronto. Are you ready to break up with winter? Because I sure am lol.
Cheers,
Char
Canadians are made up of stronger fiber than us whiny new yorkers.

Wow, so much snow still! Of course, it’s also freezing down here all the way down here in Texas!
Great shots. We only got a dusting, if that. But it was pretty cold. Funny how everyone’s getting more snow than us here in Maine. We’re used to the snow!
Even Gandhi looks cold! lol Your last picture really captures the bitterness of winter – especially that “red light”.
poor gandhi!
I love the umbrella shot. It really captures just how cold it’s been!
Great shots! This seems to be the longest winter ever… thanks for hosting!
Love that pop of color as well! Can’t imagine being in the middle of snow like that…

That last shot speaks volumes.
We’re in PA. and we got that cold weather too. Good that it’s only a statue and that he’s still standing there despite of the wicked weather.
