Thanksgiving is about spending time with family and friends and of course, giving thanks. This year, my daughter and I will be spending Thanksgiving with a close group of friends. It will be a fun day filled with cooking, toasting the day and enjoying each other’s company. The flip side is that Thanksgiving can also be stressful, funny or just plain chaotic.
Here is a mix of Thanksgiving quotes which represents the day from the funny to the thoughtful.
“Thanksgiving dinners take 18 hours to prepare. They are consumed in 12 minutes. Half-times take 12 minutes. This is not coincidence.”- Erma Bombeck
“Be thankful for what you have. Your life, no matter how bad you think it is, is someone else’s fairy tale.” – Wale Ayeni
“If a fellow isn’t thankful for what he’s got, he isn’t likely to be thankful for what he’s going to get.” – Frank A. Clark
“If you are really thankful, what do you do? You share.” – W. Clement Stone
“Thanksgiving is an emotional holiday. People travel thousands of miles to be with people they only see once a year. And then discover once a year is way too often.” – Johnny Carson
“I like football. I find its an exciting strategic game. Its a great way to avoid conversation with your family at Thanksgiving.” ― Craig Ferguson
