Tim Burton, Winona Ryder, Martin Landau and me, that’s right, I walked the Red Carpet, actually the White Carpet in a homage to Tim Burton’s latest project, Frankenweenie, a stop motion black and white film. Talk about a fun and unique experience that ranks at the top of my list of coolest events in my life.
The Frankenweenie premiere took place at the El Capitan Theatre on Hollywood Boulevard just across from Grauman’s Chinese Theater which for me was enough but as we entered the event, Winona Ryder and Tim Burton were walking down the White Carpet, being interviewed and photographed, as I have watched on a gazillion entertainment shows. I can not tell you how exciting it was to be able to see up close and personal what I have seen on the tele. TOO COOL!!
Here I am on the White Carpet at the Frankenweenie premiere. Notice the white headband to go along with the black and white them of the evening.
Look for Frankenweenie Movie Posters featuring various “reanimated pets,” genius!
Once the movie was finished (stay tuned for my review later this week), our group headed to the after party to hang with the stars. While I did not get a photo with Tim Burton, I did get to meet Jared Fogle, Subway spokesperson, Elvira and Tom Kenny, the voice of Sponge Bob.
Let me say that this event as my daughter would say, “WAS AWESOME.”
