How to Start a Bullet Journal

Did you know that Dot Journaling is this year’s hot new organization trend this year? Me either! So what is Dot Journaling? It’s the modern twist on that journaling/planner tradition that fits perfectly with our busy lifestyle—especially with back-to-school season just around the corner.
First of all, I don’t journal. But that doesn’t mean I have tried over the years given that I have tons of journals lying around the house. I was curious to see if dot journaling was for me.
One of things I do and I am sure you do it keep lists and use post it notes to keep track of the things you do. I hated that to keep a journal or diary, I needed a journal book and then I need a calendar or other type of book for the lists or notes for this that and the other.
And that is what I liked about the book and dot journaling is that it’s a creative and colorful mix of daily planner, diary, and to-do list all in one. Meaning you can do what you want because you start with a blank journal.
The book really gives you several ideas about how to lay out your calendars from yearly calendar, monthly and day to day from the very detailed to the high level overview. I will admit that I was a bit overwhelmed at first because you are in fact drawing your own calendars to fit your needs but what are my needs. I decided that
