Jaded New Yorker, Cynical New Yorker – Sometimes, that can be my middle name but at my core I am the product of the military and the suburbs, no cynical after all (and proud of it.) Which means that when unexpected major moments happen I get super excited and a little verklempt.
Recently, I was invited along with 24 bloggers to attend the Red Carpet premiere of Disney’s Frankenweenie at the El Capitan Theatre in Hollywood. When I read the email, I literally jumped for joy, that’s how exciting the news of this event was to me.
As if attending a Red Carpet premiere is not enough, here is my agenda for the trip.
- Visit Walt Disney Animation Studios for a press day and meet with filmmakers and animators about WRECK-IT RALPH and the animated short PAPERMAN (opening November 2.)
- Get a sneak peak of Disney/Pixar’s MONSTERS, INC. 3D (opening December 19) on the Walt Disney Studios lot.
- Interview cast members from FRANKENWEENIE (opening October 5) followed by attending the Red Carpet Premiere.
The trip is scheduled September 23th – September 26th and to say that I can’t wait is an understatement. Of course, there has to be a little drama, right. My two problems – what will I wear? and what will I tell my daughter about where I am going and what I am doing?
