Buying a Christmas Tree in New York is pretty much nothing like you are used to in the suburbs. There is no roof or trunk to place the tree. This being the land of competition and New Yorkers like to stay within a 10 block radius to shop and run errands, there are places to buy Christmas trees every few blocks.
Back when my daughter was a toddler, I had to have them deliver the tree because no way could I manage getting a tree back to my apartment and watch an active 3 year old.
Now we wander to a couple of different places to check out the trees and then pack up our granny cart and head home to decorate the tree.
