Brookshire Suites – A Family Friendly Business Hotel in Baltimore

Planning a trip to Baltimore with the kids, then consider staying at the Brookshire Suites, located at 120 Lombard Street just one block from the famed Inner Harbor. Usually hotels marketed to business people are not exactly family friendly but the Brookshire Suites is the complete opposite.

Here are 6 reasons why Brookshire Suites is the great choice of a hotel for families visiting Baltimore:

1. The Gold Coin Reward Program for kids – For every five gold coins collected, your child will receive a toy from the Treasure Chest at the front desk. My daughter loved collecting coins from each hotel employee she encountered. Some of them even gave her two gold coins.
2. A Fish in your Room – My daughter loved the idea of having her very own fish in our hotel room. I certainly thought it added a touch of home.
3. Inclusive Full American Breakfast – Usually I am not a fan of free hotel breakfasts because it usually consists of hard bagels and stale muffins, but the Brookshire Suites buffet breakfast was filled with, of course, fresh muffins and bagels but yummy freshly made eggs, sausage and potatoes but wait, the highlight of the breakfast was the  “Make it Yourself Waffle” Bar. That is truly different.
4. The Cloud Room – The buffet breakfast takes place in the Cloud Room which is located on the top floor of Brookshire Suites providing a view of the Inner Harbor but because it’s open 24 hours a day, you have access to enjoy  a bottle of wine at the end of day or enjoy an inexpensive take out meal if you so choose.
5. In-room amenities that include a microwave and a refrigerator. Most hotels have a refrigerator but it’s the type that only allows you to buy their food and drink without any room for your food. I like to have milk with my coffee and the Brookshire Suites allowed me to do that plus buy juice and fruit from the CVS around the corner.
6. Close proximity to Baltimore attractions. Many major  kid friendly attractions like the Maryland Science Center, the National Aquarium, Port Discovery Children’s Museum are all walking distance from the hotel. In my book that is as family friendly as it gets.
