This past week, I had the pleasure of celebrating art and food hosted by Barilla at Eataly. During the event, I viewed Barilla’s historical art and the big reveal of their L’Arte della Cucina design contest winner. I also got a sneak peek of Barilla’s newest sauce and it’s not a red sauce.
L’Arte della Cucina – Barilla invited artists to create a contemporary interpretation of Barilla Sauce, in a ‘poster’ format, that communicated “The fresh from the garden taste of Barilla Sauce” taking their inspiration from Barilla’s archive of designed posters from 1900 – 1965!
The event took place at Eataly where I was surrounded by the 5 finalists and their creations. I can tell you it was a fun event, enjoying all things Italian and best of all I got to try out Barilla’s newest sauce, a delicious pesto sauce. It was light and had just the right of amount of basil, oil and nuts. And it’s made with walnuts and not pine nuts. I can’t wait for my daughter to test it out as she is such a pesto lover. You can look for Barilla’s Pesto Sauce in 2015.
In the meantime enjoy the art of the 5 amazing artists who made the finals.
