My daughter was asked to play Mary in a church pageant aimed at explaining the birth of Jesus to children. Sweet play and great idea, even for me. Note this is not my church but it is time to start going to church. She is old enough.
December 5 -My One Year Anniversary of Being Laid Off
Wow, it’s hard to believe it’s been one year since that fateful day, December 5, 2008 that I was laid off. With so many hundreds of thousands of jobs shed over the last two years, I am surprised that no one has come up with a catchphrase to “mark” this traumatic moment in one’s life. […]

Yes and No. As someone who did indeed prep her daughter (to no avail, I might add), I would have gladly signed her […]
Walking To School – Living in the Moment
As anyone knows, the morning routine is akin to rustling cattle, moving them here and there all in an effort to get to a chosen destination on time. While it consistently makes me crazy trying to get my daughter out the door, so we don’t get the dreaded late pass. This morning, I realized that […]
Therapy Thursday (4) – What I have Learned So Far
So I have been going to family therapist for several weeks now. The big question is how am I doing? Good. The one thing all parents know is that parenting is a fluid process. We are just trying to make not just through the day but the next five minutes. Our children are like land […]
