Absolutely Fabulous is This Summer’s Comedy Hit
It’s hard to believe that the stars of the movie Absolutely Fabulous’ Jennifer Saunders and Joanna Lumley made a guest appearance before the screening of their soon to be comedy hit, Absolutely Fabulous The Movie opening Friday, July 22 but they did to the glee of the audience.
The ladies were last on air in the 90’s with their totally hilarious show but they still got it. If you haven’t heard of their show or the stars definitely look it up and watch the show.

Absolutely Fabulous: The Movie Synopsis – Appropriate for their big screen debut, Edina and Patsy are still oozing glitz and glamour, living the high life they are accustomed to; shopping, drinking and clubbing their way around London’s trendiest hotspots. Blamed for a major incident at an uber fashionable launch party, they become entangled in a media storm and are relentlessly pursued by the paparazzi. Fleeing penniless to the glamorous playground of the super-rich, the French Riviera, they hatch a plan to make their escape permanent and live the high life forever more!
4 Reasons Why You Will Love Absolutely Fabulous The Movie
1. Hilariously Over the Top
Pats and Edina are as outrageous as ever, drinking, smoking and acting like a bunch of twenty somethings. They are also extremely hilarious and over the top as ever. I found myself laughing out loud more than on several occasions. What makes both women so funny is not only their comedic timing but their physical comedy. Neither have any fear in looking stupid which makes it all the more hilarious because their characters have no idea how insane they are.
2. The Outrageous Fashion
The photos from the movie say it all. Everyone except Patsy’s daughter is wildly dressed. It’s a delight to see who of all the characters can stand out the most but they are equally amazing. Patsy and Edina haven’t lost their touch. What makes the show totally outlandish are the clothes they wear in the name of fashion even it looks ridiculous. It’s about making a statement and an entrance in which the fashionistas notice you, “darling.”

Celebrity Cameos
Absolutely Fabulous brings their “A” game of celebrity cameos from Jean Paul Gaultier to Dame Edna to Kate Moss. And can I say, Kate Moss never looked lovelier and obviously was game to be mocked. Kudos Kate!!
4. It’s LOL Funny
It has to be said again, I laughed from the opening scene to the end. These women are just too funny. Even the Edina’s walk from her front door to her car is hilarious.
Do I recommend the movie? Yes, the movie brings all the elements that made the show a hit and even if you haven’t seen the show or know who these women are you find it funny. And who doesn’t need a good laugh?
