It’s Back to School Time and that means first day back jitters [ will our teacher be nice, will I still have friends, what will I wear, you name it us, moms have to be supportive and deal with our little ones concerns big and small. I thought why not rerun, the Moms Get Real segment hosted by Good Morning America’s Ju Ju Chang featuring yours truly, NYC Single Mom (making her television debut) on back to school jitters. Not much as has changed and I guess it never will.
It’s a great segment with lot of good advice, fyi, I make my speaking debut at the 1.20 and 8.00 minute mark in part 1. I don’t talk a lot since Ju Ju deferred to Dr. Janet Wright. You might recognize Dr. Wright as she seems to be the go to person on all the morning shows when any kid/teen topics pop up.
All through the segment, I kept thinking,” don’t sound like an idiot, be witty, sound intelligent” and more importantly, I worried about my spanx peeking out from my dress for the world to see. Is this what celebrities worry about in interviews? After doing this segment, you realize hard it to sound intelligent and funny on television.
