If you are like me, there are moments when it’s 3 p.m. and you have no idea what to cook for dinner. But you are no mood to head to the supermarket after work and then come home and start cooking.
That’s where Max Delivery comes in to help. Max Delivery is an under-the-radar vertically integrated, online grocery delivery service that has been serving New Yorkers for 15 years. No, I hadn’t heard of them until they reached out to me try their delivery service.
Max Delivery offers a large selection of goods which includes fresh produce, dairy and meat, local gourmet and specialty foods, wine & spirits, and even over-the-counter medicine and everyday supplies for the home & office that range from paper products to pet food. Who knew???
So what’s the big deal, you ask. Max Delivery guarantees same-day, one-hour delivery. Recently, I decided to test out their delivery service. I had a hankering for filet mignon and Max Delivery did not disappoint. I also took the opportunity to order a cobb salad, potato salad, crab salad sides, D’Artagnan sausage, Yukon potatoes to make mash potatoes, Balthazar baguette, and Murray’s cheese. Plus two bottles of wine and cold brew for the next day’s coffee fix. The wines were definitely affordable for my needs but for the wine enthusiasts, their selection was pretty impressive.
Max Delivery partners with local brands including local New York icons like Pat LaFrieda Butchers, Murray’s Cheese, Raffetto’s Pasta, and more. Plus they source the best products including top wholesalers such as Satur Farms, Baldor Foods, and Beyond Meat.
While this may not be important to you, I was happy to hear that the company hires a team of full-time employees who receive benefits (unlike competitors who use third-party, contract employees) both in the warehouse and on the corporate team.
So how did Max Delivery perform? All I know is that I placed my order at 3:30 and it arrived by 4:30. Every item was perfectly packed in paper bags, not boxes (yeah!) and my blueberry cheesecake arrived without being smushed.
My dinner was just delicious, the filet mignon was mouth-watering, the Cobb Salad was yummy and both salads were also delightfully flavored (not too much mayonnaise.) I had enough leftovers for lunch the next day. I am also happy that I did order the side salads because my original intention was to make mash potatoes but just got lazy or tired (or both). And I topped my dinner off with a delicious glass of Pere et Fils Syrah!!
All in all, I am excited to have found Max Delivery. Next time I plan to add to my order by ordering those much-needed household products I seemed to never have.
Definitely give Max Delivery a try, you will be happy with the service and the food selection.
