We just got back from our trip to Rome and Florence. Because I knew we would be walking a lot, I decided to sign up for one those hop on hop off bus tours to be able to see a lot of more of the city. Rome and Florence are relatively small cities and the major attractions are accessible either by walking or metro but it’s a lot of walking every day for 2 weeks. Frankly, I did not want to really end up resting every 10 minutes because my hips might not be able to take it.
That all said, I might have thought twice about taking the Colosseum tour where we had to walk up to the 5th level to get the best view.
But hey how often do you get to see the Colosseum from that vantage point.

For me, I know I need to explore my options to deal with this slow but currently manageable pain namely scheduling an appointment with a physician to discuss my symptoms. And while I have no desire to Climb Mt. Everest, I do want to be able to continue traveling without having to worry about “pain” and enjoy living life to the fullest with friends and family.
