If you are like me you are interested in warding off germs and bacteria in your home. So it should not come as a surprise that your kitchen may be the busiest germ factory in your house. According to a new study, people should wash and rotate their kitchen towels more frequently because towels Can be a Big Source of Bacteria In Your Kitchen.
Here are Tips to Keep Your Kitchen Germ Free.
1) For towels/cloths hanging in the kitchen, allow them to dry after use.
2) Change out towels and clothes at least once a week. Why not take the opportunity to buy new towels from KayDee Towels or Maison d’Hermine.
3) Run kitchen towels and dishcloths through the washer at least once per week, using hot water.
4) Dry kitchen towels/cloths on high heat.
5) After washing your hands properly, grab the hand towel, not the dish towel. Better yet, use a single-use paper towel.
6) Clean kitchen surfaces often (at least once a week), using disinfectant sprays or wipes. Ten Best All Natural Cleaning Products.
7) Don’t get too attached to your sponges. Washing, drying or zapping sponges in the microwave can help reduce germs, but we suggest disposing of sponges at least once a week, or when they smell bad.
8) Don’t like sponges, add microfiber cloths which I always have on hand in addition to sponges. And they are of course washable to be used over and over again.
9) And don’t forget to use all natural products to clean around the kitchen and the rest of your home.
