What fun my daughter and I had celebrating the film’s 25th anniversary and re-release of Home Alone 2: Lost in New York on Blu-ray/DVD/Digital HD.
We had the pleasure of screening HOME ALONE 2: LOST IN NEW YORK in its original 35 mm print. Such a joy to see the movie after all these years and my teen daughter thought it was brilliant. It was a bit weird to New York City from 25 years ago. Much has changed of course but much has still stayed the same.

In HOME ALONE 2: LOST IN NEW YORK, our fearless kid, Kevin McCallister (Macaulay Culkin) gets stuck in New York City, while his parents spend the holidays in Florida! It’s a fun and hilarious romp that follows Kevin checking into the famed The Plaza Hotel, enjoying room service and taking in the sights of 90’s New York City.
Although Kevin finds food, lodging and fun using his dad’s credit card, he learns that the Wet Bandits (Joe Pesci and Daniel Stern) have escaped prison and are also in New York! Of course, Kevin has to outrun and outprank them – again!
After the screening, my daughter had to take part in some Home Alone 2 photo ops at The Plaza Hotel – where else!
