RUBIN MUSEUM ANNUAL BLOCK PARTY Sunday, July 16
Discover and create the “Sounds of the Street” with art-making, performances, and in-gallery sound experiences at The Rubin Museum of Art at their annual summer Block Party and it’s all for FREE. Yes, admission to the museum is FREE.
Come make some noise with thousands of other New Yorkers and participate in unique experiences for all ages, inspired by the exhibition The World is Sound.
Activities include:
Sonic art-making activities for kids and adults of all ages, including bubble painting, instruments of your own, cut-up poetry, and dancing ooblek
Special Museum tours and in-gallery sound meditation experiences

- The Bhakti Center
- Dana Flynn of Laughing Lotus Yoga

- Oral histories showcased by Adhikaar
- Music selections by ACHA Himalayan Sisterhood
- Nepali children’s songs by Grassroots Movement in Nepal (GMIN)
- Garba dance by India Home
- Musical instrument demos by Tibetan Community of NY/NJ
- English to Tibetan name translation by United Sherpa Association
- Sign Language Center
