When you see the El Capitan Theatre all lit up showcasing The Jungle Book World Premiere, you realize after weeks of waiting this is really happening. Admittedly, I have walked the Red Carpet for Marvel’s Thor: The Dark World premiere and the Delivery Man premiere but in no way is this just another day for this single mom.

Walking the Red Carpet for the The Jungle Book premiere is just a surreal experience because you are seeing Hollywood Boulevard decorated with The Jungle Book theme and fans all lined up on the famed Hollywood Boulevard just like you see on the entertainment shows.
It’s hard to believe but we are standing on the steps that lead up to the Oscars!! (This was before we hit the Red Carpet)

What I find exhilarating is that we get to pass by all the fans (okay I am bragging), and then you are faced with seeing hundreds of paparazzi and journalists all waiting to take their turns to interview the stars, talk about a rush of adrenalin to see it all in real life and real time. It’s actually pretty nerve racking walking the Red Carpet because you are trying to take it all in and are distracted by the stars signing autographs right in front of you and then see a favorite actor like Ken Marino (Veronica Mars) right behind you. I actually told him he was one of my favorite stars which is true. I didn’t ask for photo because he was with his young son trying to get him through the crowd just like everyone else.

Typically security on our side of the red carpet asks you to keep it moving (as they should) BUT not this time. I say “our” side because there is a metal bar separating us from the celebrities being interviewed by various entertainment sources.

Then it was all over sadly and then into watch the movie with the stars of the movie. Yes, many of them were seeing it for the first time. Stay tuned for the review of the movie and interview with the stars.
The Jungle Book After Party
And yes, we had the pleasure of enjoying the movie’s after party filled with tons of movie and television stars plus we got to make honey comb candles.
And then it was over. This was one of those memorable experiences that I will cherish.

Directed by Jon Favreau (“Iron Man”), based on Rudyard Kipling’s timeless stories and inspired by Disney’s classic animated film, “The Jungle Book” is an all-new live-action epic adventure about Mowgli (newcomer Neel Sethi), a man-cub who’s been raised by a family of wolves. But Mowgli finds he is no longer welcome in the jungle when fearsome tiger Shere Khan (voice of Idris Elba), who bears the scars of Man, promises to eliminate what he sees as a threat. Awesome Review! Do you think that the movie is appropriate for younger audiences (my grandkids are 4 and 6)?
I think the 6 year old will be able to handle the movie I think it might be inappropriate for the 4year old. There are some scenes that I think would be scary for a 4 year old.
