Disney Studios The Jungle Book Interviews
Along with 24 other bloggers, I will be walking the Los Angeles Red Carpet for The JUNGLE BOOK Premiere. In addition to walking the Red Carpet,we will be interviewing Director Jon Favreau and Neel Sethi who plays “Mowgli, the star of the movie, Sir Ben Kingsley (voice of “Bagheera”), Lupita Nyong’o (voice of “Raksha”) and Giancarlo Esposito (voice of “Akela”.)
Director Jon Favreau
I am excited to be interviewing Director Jon Favreau who began his career as an actor in one of my favorite sports movies of all time, “Rudy.”He has gone onto to direct blockbuster hits “Iron Man”, “Iron Man 2 and other big hits. And if you haven’t seen “Chef”, definitely find it not because Favreau wrote, directed, produced and starred in the indie hit along with Sofia Vergara, Scarlett Johansson and Robert Downey but because it’s a wonderful movie.
Neel Sethi (“Mowgli”)
Sir Ben Kingsley (voice of “Bagheera”)
Sir Ben Kingsley is by far one of my favorite actors and done it all from his classic films Gandhi and Schindler’s List to his comedic turn in Iron Man 3 so this is going to be thrill for me to meet such a talented actor. Kingsley voices “Bagheera,” a sleek panther who feels it’s his duty to help the Mowgli, the man-cub depart with dignity when it’s time for him to leave his jungle home.
Lupita Nyong’o (voice of “Raksha”)
Academy Award winner, Lupita Nyong’o is a dream to interview and I had the pleasure of interviewing her during the Star Wars: The Force Awakens Press Junket. In her latest movie, she voices Raksha, a mother wolf who cares deeply for all of her pups–including man-cub Mowgli, whom she adopts as one of her own when he’s abandoned in the jungle as an infant.
Giancarlo Esposito (voice of “Akela”)
Giancarlo Esposito stars at the “Magic Mirror” on ABC’s ONCE UPON A TIME and was nominated for an Emmy for his role on BREAKING BAD, voices “Akela”, the strong and hardened alpha-male wolf, welcoming Mowgli into the pack.
Disney XD “Walk the Prank”
We will also will be attending a special screening of the hilarious new hidden camera-practical joke series Disney XD “Walk the Prank” and going to Paramount Studios where will view production for an upcoming episode and interview members of the “Walk the Prank” cast. “Walk the Prank” premieres 4/6 at 8:30 pm on Disney XD.
