2016 Slate from Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures looks totally amazing and can’t wait to see all of them. There is something for everyone from historical films like The Finest Hours to everyone’s favorite Blue Tang Dory returning to the ultimate confrontation between Captain America and Iron Man in Marvel’s Captain America: Civil War capping the year off with Lucasfilm Rogue One.

The Finest Hours ( January 29)

Disney’s “The Finest Hours” is the unforgettable story of the Coast Guard’s most daring rescue mission directed by Craig Gillespie and stars Chris Pine, Casey Affleck, Ben Foster, Holliday Grainger, John Ortiz and Eric Bana.
Zootopia (March 4)
Comprised of habitat neighborhoods like ritzy Sahara Square and frigid Tundratown, it’s a melting pot where animals from every environment live together—a place where no matter what you are, from the biggest elephant to the smallest shrew, you can be anything. But when rookie Officer Judy Hopps (voice of Ginnifer Goodwin) arrives, she discovers that being the first bunny on a police force of big, tough animals isn’t so easy.
The Jungle Book ( April 15)

Directed by Jon Favreau (“Iron Man”), based on Rudyard Kipling’s timeless stories and inspired by Disney’s classic animated film, “The Jungle Book” is an all-new live-action epic adventure about Mowgli (newcomer Neel Sethi), a man-cub who’s been raised by a family of wolves. But Mowgli finds he is no longer welcome in the jungle when fearsome tiger Shere Khan (voice of Idris Elba), who bears the scars of Man, promises to eliminate what he sees as a threat.
Captain America: Civil War (May 6)

Marvel’s “Captain America: Civil War” finds Steve Rogers leading the newly formed team of Avengers in their continued efforts to safeguard humanity. But after another incident involving the Avengers results in collateral damage, political pressure mounts to install a system of accountability, headed by a governing body to oversee and direct the team.
Alice Through the Looking Glass (May 27)

“Alice Through the Looking Glass” is the all-new spectacular adventure featuring the unforgettable characters from Lewis Carroll’s beloved stories. Alice returns to the whimsical world of Underland and travels back in time to save the Mad Hatter.
Finding Dory (June 17)

“Finding Dory,” answers the question that many may have asked after watching the first movie: where is Dory’s family, and will this overly-optimistic fish with short-term memory loss ever be able to find them again?
The BFG (July 1)

The talents of three of the world’s greatest storytellers – Roald Dahl, Walt Disney and Steven Spielberg – unite to bring Dahl’s beloved classic “The BFG” to life. Pete’s Dragon (August 12)

“Pete’s Dragon,” is a reimagining of Disney’s cherished family film. The heartwarming adventure of an orphaned boy named Pete and his best friend Elliott, who just so happens to be a dragon.
Queen of Katwe (Fall)

“Queen of Katwe,” which is based on the inspirational true story of a girl from the poverty-stricken slums of rural Uganda who dreams of becoming a champion chess player.
Doctor Strange (November 4)

Benedict Cumberbatch plays Doctor Strange in this Marvel action packed movie.
Moana ( November 23)

“Moana” tells the story of the girl, Moana, a vibrant, tenacious 16-year-old growing up on an island where voyaging is forbidden, yet she has been drawn to the ocean since she can remember and is desperate to find out what’s beyond the confines of her island.
Rogue One: A Star Wars Story (December 16)

“Rogue One,” the first of the standalone Star Wars stories to hit the big screen, which has commenced principal photography. “Rogue One,” which tells the story of resistance fighters who have united to steal plans to the dreaded Death Star.
