Life sometimes takes a funny turn, right. Last month ended on a bit of downer as you can read about in my Surviving as Single Mom post but April is starting off with a bang.
This week, I am head to Los Angeles to the AVENGERS: Age of Ultron and Disneynature’s Monkey Kingdom press event. I am thrilled beyond belief. I love the Marvel movies and was fortunate to walk the Red Carpet for the premiere of Marvel’s Thor: The Dark World.
During the press junket, I will be screening Marvel’s Avengers: Age of Ultron, enjoying a special day checking out the monkey exhibits at LA ZOO and then screening Disneynature’s Monkey Kingdom on the Walt Disney lot. But that is not all, we will be visiting the set of Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.
That is not even the best part of the press event, I am so overwhelmed that I am going to be the same room interviewing some of the biggest stars in the world. Seriously, this is what makes blogging so much fun. Check out the cast interviews that will be happening and we are also interviewing Director Joss Whedon (this is the man who brought us Buffy the Vampire Slayer, people!)
- Chris Evans (“Captain America”)
- Chris Hemsworth (“Thor”)
- Scarlett Johansson (“Black Widow”)
- Jeremy Renner (“Hawkeye”)
- Mark Ruffalo (“The Hulk”)
- Cobie Smulders (“Agent Maria Hill”)
- James Spader (“Ultron”)
- Paul Bettany (“Vision”)
- Aaron Taylor-Johnson (“Quicksilver”)
- Elizabeth Olsen (“Scarlet Witch”)
- Director Joss Whedon
- Producer (and President of Marvel Studios) Kevin Feige

As the villainous Ultron emerges, it is up to The Avengers to stop him from enacting his terrible plans, and soon uneasy alliances and unexpected action pave the way for an epic and unique global adventure.

Disneynature’s Monkey Kingdom
Life is an adventure for Maya, the clever and resourceful blonde-bobbed monkey in “Monkey Kingdom,” Disneynature’s new feature film set among ancient ruins in the storied jungles of South Asia. Maya’s world is forever changed when she welcomes her son, Kip, into her complicated extended family. Like all families, Maya’s has more than its share of colorful personalities—and she’s determined to give her son a leg up on the social ladder. When their longtime home at Castle Rock is taken over by powerful neighboring monkeys, Maya’s whole family is forced to relocate, where she uses her street smarts and ingenuity to lead them to untapped resources amidst strange new creatures and unsettling surroundings. Ultimately, they will all have to work together to reclaim Castle Rock, where Maya can hopefully realize her dreams for her son’s future.
