This past week, I headed to Penn Station to taste test the newly launched Life is Good coffee. Life is Good, the popular apparel company with a positive purpose has partnered with Smucker’s to bring delicious, premium coffee to consumers, while staying committed to spreading the power of optimism and helping kids in need.
Talk about a cool set up in the middle of Penn Station, the “Life is good Loft” was a wonderfully homey living room setting to serve more than 8,000 cups of its new line to commuters to enjoy samples of Life is Good coffee (will get to that in a minute)
and listen to a wonderful singer named Dan Mills. This was such a nice break in the commuting action before I headed to work.
During the event, I had the chance to chat with the Director of Brand and PR about the new line of coffees. And did you know? Life is good donates 10 percent of its net profits – including from Life is good Coffee – to help kids in need through The Life is good Kids Foundation. To date, Life is good has raised $11 million for The Life is good Kids Foundation through Life is good products and community fundraising efforts. That is so incredibly amazing. I liked that we chatted about how the company because it’s privately held is run in way that allows for them to be so involved in giving back to the community.
So coffee lovers, you want to know how it tasted. I tried three Life is Good flavors, Happy Medium, a medium roast ground coffee, Dark & Daring, a dark roast ground coffee and S’more to Love (you got it smelled and tasted like S’Mores).
Well I can say three things about the flavors I tried, surprisingly delicious, smooth, and excellent. Yes, excellent. Should I be surprised, the company that is all about spreading positivity and optimism, starting my day off with a delicious cup of joe’ and it did. I seriously can see myself having an afternoon coffee break with the S’More to Love and a little piece of chocolate. I wish I could have tried Banana Bread Bliss flavor because I liked the other flavors so much. I am definitely going to track that one down.
