Central Park is by far New York City’s most famous park but the one thing you fill that there are these hidden parks that dot the city. Paley Park is one of them. Paley Park is located at 3 East 53rd Street between 5th and Madison Avenues.
What makes this pocket park stand out is the waterfall backdrop designed by landscape architectural firm of Zion & Breen. Along with providing a beautiful scene, the waterfall actually creates a backdrop of grey noise to mask the sounds of the city. It really does allow New Yorkers and visitors alike a place of serenity in the hustle and bustle of Midtown. And who was Paley. The park is named for William S. Paley who founded the CBS network.

The park is walking distance from Rockefeller Center so it’s a nice place to pick up lunch and take a break.
Do you have a favorite park in your city?
