Who doesn’t love cupcakes? Instead of boring old cupcakes with frosting, it’s my plan to try to attempt to liven up my cupcakes but given my schedule, I did not want to make it too complicated.
So why not start with a super simple cupcake recipe inspired from my favorite Disney character Mickey Mouse.
Mickey Mouse Cupcakes
Ingredients
- 12 Cupcakes of your choice (I toggle back and forth between homemade and box
- 6 Oreo cookies and 12 Oreo mini-cookies (substitution: store brand sandwich cookies)
Frosting (see my super simple frosting recipe below or use store bought frosting)
- Frost the cupcakes
- Cut the cookie into halves
- To create the top of the mouse head
- Gently push one half of a regular cookie (with the unfrosted side facing forward) halfway down into the center of a cupcake
- For mouse ears
- Place the mini cookies behind and to the sides of the head and press the cookies into the frosting deep enough to hold them in place.
