Chic and Cool Visit at Hyatt Times Square @HyattTimesSquare

HYATT TIMES SQUARE

The Hyatt Times Square located near Times Square without a doubt has a very chic and modern look to it.

While Times Square can be a bit hectic, the benefit of staying so centrally located  is that it is walking distance to all the major mid-town attractions and for you shoppers is close to all the Fifth Avenue stores.

I will admit that I really like the sophisticated and modern look of the room designed by George Wong and loved all the room amenities that include robes, a refrigerator (this is a bonus rather than trying to extort $5 for bag of M&Ms or water); coffee maker, Hyatt Stereo iPod docking station, high-speed Internet access (still have to pay per day!!)  and if you forget anything like toothpaste, nail file or hairspray, just request it and housekeeping will bring it up.

Now the bad news, if you notice the side drawer. Actually it’s not a drawer, it’s extra space to put your stuff, that’s what the front desk told us. I think someone made a mistake and that’s their story. There literally is NO and I mean NO drawers in the room. You have to hang up all your clothes in the closet which doesn’t have enough hangers if there is more than one person staying in the room. I guess the designer thought guests would be dressing minimally as well. I am not sure how they would fix this situation since their is no space to add drawers in the room.

All said, I like the convenient location, the very friendly and accomodating staff and the modern super quiet rooms. Definitely check it out, if you are visiting New York City. And don’t forget to check hyatt.com for promotional offers.

I am a person who really appreciates modern minimalistic, but those drawers are just… not okay. But hey, it really looks like a nice room and does include some great amenities! Keeping in mind for my next trip back home.

Definitely a more modern looking room. I love the background art for the TV. Definitely very NY!
