Recently, I happened upon the “Goodbye My Love” installation located in Anita’s Way, the pedestrian passageway connecting West 42nd Street with West 43rd Street between 6th Avenue and Broadway. It’s hard to miss, a entire city block of 12 planes made of heart-shaped bodies and all in red. Talk about striking and memorable, the installation is by Cuban artist Esterio Segura named “Goodbye My Love” and is a reference to the love found in contemporary relationships that often requires people to be separated from each other.
” Goodbye My Love” will be on view until May 13, 2013.
