I just got an email from my daughter’s teacher that the homework log will be coming home in the backpack. The infamous backpack. I have no idea how homework or anything was communicated in the olden days. Now a days, if you don’t check the backpack you are s**t out of luck.
I can not wait to see exactly what this homework is. I am not sure if I am happy or sad that it’s actually going to begin.
On the one hand, I have been slightly miffed that the Talented and Gifted schools have been getting homework since September. Miffed might not be the right word, it’s more like paranoid that my daughter is already falling behind in KINDERGARTEN. I know instinctively this is ridiculous but given the nutty and competitive nature of New York City, I can’t help myself.
The other side is that playtime is over and this is going to be our routine for the next 10 years.
Good thing I rearranged her room and move the unused desk into her room.
