Harry Potter’s Hedwig the Owl Watches Swim Class #WordlessWednesday

March 22, 2011 by NYCSingleMom Filed Under: Single Mom Daily Life, Wordless Wednesday

Hedwig the Owl

My daughter loves her Hedwig the Owl and takes it everywhere even  to swim class. She like so many kids is fascinated with all thing Hogwarts, Harry Potter and the stars of the movies, Daniel Radcliffe, Emma Watson and Rupert Grint (she just loves to say his name in an English accent.)

I could not resist buying it for her when we visited Wizarding World of Harry Potter even though I am not a big fan of stuffed animals. I was taken by it’s unique ability to move  it’s head from side to side.

Cool, right.

Of course, because she is in the water, I am the one who looks like the nutcase.

At least your owl is not pink with green specks. That’s the owl my daughter has… and thank goodness she doesn’t take it with her everywhere. 🙂

Aww! My daughter have about 10 or so little “animals” that she needs to have around. Luckily they are interchangeable.

How adorable. My girls dream about going to the Wizarding World, not something we can do any time soon though. My little one loves her Hedwig too.
    Happy WW!

HA! That’s so funny–I think I’d be explaining to everyone who walked by that it was my daughter’s. “Oh, hi, in case you were wondering, this isn’t my owl! It’s my daughter’s, really!”

So cute that she has to bring it wherever she goes. 🙂

I love it! Princess Nagger has an owl like that she takes everywhere too – it’s either that or her stuffed Pteranadon. 🙂

This brings back memories. My grandmother bought me a stuffed Giraffe when I was a baby and the neck also moved. I loved that Giraffe!!!

Is it wrong to want Hedwig Owl, or anything else Harry Potter, for that matter, if you’re over 50? I never saw any of the Harry Potter movies until about 6 months ago, and after watching the first one, insisted that we get all the rest. Now I’m dreading seeing the last one, just knowing it’s the last one. I even started reading the books! Hopelessly hooked on Harry, even at my age.
