While my daughter is away a sleepaway camp, I have three weeks of alone time. While I will be able to catch up on some must see Summer television shows I want to actually accomplish some things. Here is my Summer 2017 must accomplish list.
1. Take a weekend trip to visit with Friends
I am heading out to my friend’s home in Westchester, yes I am headed to the ‘burbs people. This is the first time, I am visiting with my friend and her husband. She is great hostess and I know I will have a good time, filled with great conversation, lots of laughs and just an enjoyable, relaxing weekend. She is great at planning day trips so curious as to what she has planned. Of course, I told her that I don’t really care what we do, if we just hung out, I would be fine. It’s the change of venue and just being able to have quality time with her and her husband that is important to me.
2. Begin Writing my E-Book
This has been my goal all year. I have planned it out that while my daughter is at camp, I have written posts ahead of time and scheduled them. Having a virtual assistant also helps who will manage my social media during that time which I already planned out. This should free up time to just focus on the book. Any work I get for the blog will have to be put aside until for a couple of weeks.
3. Start working out first thing in the morning
I actually get up early like 5am so you would think I could get it together to go to the gym first thing in the morning if only for 30-45 minutes. I have no idea what the heck I am doing but not anything useful or productive. So I want to get in the habit of getting to the gym at least 1-2x (let’s be realistic, right otherwise I set myself up for failure.)
4. Eat Better By Using Prepared Meal Services
I have tried Blue Apron and Hello Fresh in the last few months. The problem is that I enjoy the meals and my daughter for the most part is not. I like that everything is pre-measured so I don’t waste food and it’s delicious. So while the meals are for two people, I can enjoy the second serving for lunch. I can’t wait!
5. Clean out all the closets and purge, purge!!
I have got to get a handle in purging stuff from my apartment. I have been holding onto stuff for far too long. I just have to just do it so I can free up space! And it’s not my plan to buy more stuff, it’s so I can actually find stuff that I own rather than forget what nook and cranny I stuffed it into.
6. Treat myself to a Spa Day
I went to a blog event a few weeks ago and had the opportunity to buy a treatment at a discount so I am going to use it and add on a couple of other treatments and spend the day at the spa. Just enjoy drinking lemon water and relaxing in their lounge area. This is a big thing since I never have time to lounge around, I just run in and leave.
7. Get my Estate Plan in Order
Estate Plan sounds so fancy well it’s not. It’s whole host documents other than my will which actually needs to be redone that need to completed. Plus there are other financial documents that I need to get in order. I have put this off for far too long and I just want to get it done!
Do have any activities you plan to accomplish over the next few weeks?
